Alex Mann (he / him) ; born in Chicago and raised in the suburbs of Boston, MA

2024 was an exceptionally busy year and 2025 is already on pace to beat that.  Alex was the promoter of several shows including the 2nd Annual Squantum Yacht Club Comedy Night, Working Man Distillers, and fundraisers in MA and RI.  

2024 saw Alex open for Michele Traina (Divorce Diaries in MA and in ME.  He also went back to Maine 2 more times. Once to compete in the New England's Funniest making it to the 2nd round. 

The HOPE Center located in Braintree Ma was host to a Sober Comedy Show to raise money for the Non-Profit NCSO Cares.  Alex pitched the idea to show support to those in recovery and sober houses by creating an event without alcohol.  National comedians Lenny Clarke and Steve Sweeney jumped in with several other local comedians and had an audience of 200!

In what has become an annual tradition Alex continued to travel and perform far from home. 2024 audiences in Nashville were entertained by the fact a Northerner knows what "Bless your heart" means!!

Alex performed 4 shows in San Fransico at the 2023 8th Mutiny Radio Comedy Festival, Oct 8-15.

Week 10 Winner Dec 2023) of the Lighter Side of Finance. A weekly contest where comedians fake their way through financial news.

The need for a quick wit started very early.  Switching from public schools where the bullies in 3rd grade actually ended up in jail (yup) to private schools where the 7th grade bully was a nun (yup again) 

Alex's brand of Boston humor evolves from a childhood with family friction, neighbors who worked for the mob, fatherhood, divorce, dating over 40, working in TV and movie and over 25 years of working as a Corrections Officer.

For the past 8 years Alex Mann has been performing, training and teaching. A year before Covid, Alex launched the Church of Improv in New Bedford Ma. The goal was to allow indie teams who perform Improv the time and space to perform in front of an audience. The industry standard of 10-15 minutes for new performers was never enough.  Before closing due to Covid, teams from all over MA and RI got 25-30 minutes each to show off and learn.  

Alex is also a member of the Screen Actors Guild. He has appeared in several movies as a background actor and even a few featured spots.
