Week 10 Winner Dec 2023) of the Lighter Side of Finance. A weekly contest where comedians fake their way through financial news.

The need for a quick wit started very early.  Switching from public schools where the bullies in 3rd grade actually ended up in jail (yup) to private schools where the 7th grade bully was a nun (yup again) 

Alex's brand of Boston humor evolves from a childhood with family friction, neighbors who worked for the mob, fatherhood, divorce, dating over 40, working in TV and movie and over 25 years of working as a Corrections Officer.

For the past 8 years Alex Mann has been performing, training and teaching. A year before Covid, Alex launched the Church of Improv in New Bedford Ma. The goal was to allow indie teams who perform Improv the time and space to perform infront of an audience. The industry standard of 10-15 minutes for new performers was never enough.  Before closing due to Covid, teams from all over MA and RI got 25-30 minutes each to show off and learn.  

Alex is also a member of the Screen Actors Guild. He has appeared in several movies as a background actor and even a few featured spots.
